Fluid energy pulverisers [fep] have attained importance for pulverizing and classifying all sorts of hard brittle, soft or agglomerate materials to low micron [1-10 micron] fineness with precise control of contamination in dry state. The technique has been found extremely effective and economical for grinding of materials either in a laboratory or a large-scale production. Fep has no moving parts. The required input energy for the grinding action is derived from the compressed air, which is fed into the mill through two diametrically, oppose nozzles. The materials can be fine ground to an average particle size of 0.2 to 5 micron or coarse ground to 325 meshes depending upon the requirement.
